Wyrd-Duck Hunt

What was your first ever videogame?

Well odd enough, it was at a cousins house, playing Duck Hunt. I had no game console of my own till I was maybe 13–and it was the Sonic default game that came with the console…. A WYRD connected fact FYI—-

Back in 1982, when he was just 13 years old, Jack Black’s very first professional acting gig ever was starring in a television commercial for the Atari 2600 game Pitfall! Decades later, he still loves talking about it, noting how mind-blowing those primitive blocky graphics felt at the time.  (Louder Article)

Beyond that commercial, he’s openly cited arcade classics from the mid-to-late ’70s and early ’80s like Space Invaders and Scramble as the foundation of his gaming life, long before he went on to voice iconic gaming roles like Eddie Riggs in Brütal Legend or Bowser in The Super Mario Bros. Movie.  (Jack Black Talks Gaming, Giving Devs the Finger)

You can actually watch a baby-faced Jack Black talking about that original Atari gig in this Atari Pitfall commercial feature……. Now another Wyrd fact, to me this whole reality is a video game of sorts….but I obviously got weirder stories than that………☠️AYE👁️☠️
